The next WiFi sprinkler controller up for review is the Blossom Smart Watering Controller. I got the unit installed and running without much hassle.
The Blossom is a 12-zone smart irrigation controller that makes it easy to program your sprinkler system from a smart phone. The Blossom is weather resistant, so it can be mounted indoors or out. It will skip a watering session if rain is in the forecast.
I was surprised that a smartphone app (iOS or Android) is required to use the controller. If a web-only setup is available I did not find it.
I skipped the use of the Powerline bridge that extends the range of the controller because I didn’t have an extra port to spare in my router and WiFi reception is nearly perfect in my garage.
Check out the video walkthrough below, and I’ll have my review of the Blossom after a couple weeks of testing.
